2026 Touch a Truck
NOTE: The event has been rescheduled for Friday, October 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. on the riverfront in downtown Paducah. FREE event for the entire family. The floodwall entry at Water Street and Jefferson along with the floodwall entry points at Madison Street and Harrison Street will be blocked to vehicular traffic during the event.
Touch a Truck is a free, annual event where kids, teachers, and families can see and touch approximately two dozen types of vehicles.
The 2026 event will be on Friday, October 2 at Barkley Regional Airport (cancelled due to rain) from 9 until 11 a.m. Vehicles typically participating at Touch a Truck include a helicopter, fire truck, ambulance, tow truck, concrete mixer, dump truck, garbage truck, trolley, and police car. Participants also get to meet the people who operate the vehicles on a daily basis.
Individuals or businesses interested in bringing a vehicle to Touch a Truck should contact Paducah Parks & Recreation. School and church groups are asked to pre-register by contacting Parks. Individuals do not need to pre-register. Bus and public parking will be available.
